Huntley
While we all made mistakes, some were bigger than others, something that Huntley Winslet knew all too well. Granted, professionally, she was hitting it out of the park. As an antique expert, she made a very good living working for an auction house and private collector, something that she was very grateful for. After all, not everyone could say that they loved their job, so she did realize how lucky she was.
Nevertheless, while she had a very successful and rewarding career going for her, she'd also made the asinine decision to let a drunken night in Las Vegas lead her to the altar, something that she had immediately regretted the very next morning. Still, determined to take accountability for her actions, she'd chosen to stay married, doing everything that she could to make the best of things.
Onyx
While we all made mistakes, some were more regretful than others, something that Onyx Mercer knew very well. Yeah, his professional life was at an all-time high, and as the VP of Kingston Industries, he wanted for nothing, something that he never took for granted. Since he hadn't grown up rich, he counted his blessings every day, something that his parents had instilled in him at a very young age.
Nevertheless, while he was blessed in more ways than one, he'd also made the mistake of letting himself get duped into marriage, and without a prenup in the picture, he'd spent the past three years stuck with a viper of a human being. Granted, they might be married in name only at this point, but that still didn't take away from the fact that he woke up wanting to punch himself in the face every morning.
When a chance encounter changes everything…
When Huntley finds herself at The Fantasy Factory to celebrate her divorce, the last person that she expects to run into is Onyx Mercer. However, what's more unexpected is when he joins her in one of the fantasy rooms, and now that she sees him in a whole new light, things get complicated really fast.
When Onyx ends up at The Fantasy Factory, babysitting a client, he isn't expecting to see Huntley Winslet sitting at the bar. However, things only get worse when he follows her into one of the fantasy rooms, then finds himself no longer caring just how much a divorce is going to cost him.
Though Huntley is determined to stay away from a married Onyx, that's easier said than done when he finally shows her proof that he's filed for divorce, and that he did it for her. Unfortunately for them, they underestimate just how vile the soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Mercer can really be.
