There, where only disorder existed, the light drew the first straight line. That line was Ma'at. She was not a daughter, but a reflection. She had no form, but shaped all forms. She was the one who told Ra where to place the sun, where the Nile should flow, how the wind should blow. Without her, even the gods would have returned to chaos."
