Descrizione In a bustling city, Detective X is known for his calmness and prudence, but he is always troubled by an unsolved case in the past. At that time, he missed a crucial clue, which led to a tragedy, and he has not been able to let it go. Whenever a new case comes, he will involuntarily fall into self-blame and anxiety, afraid of making mistakes again. One day, the police asked him to help deal with a missing case. The victim was a young woman. The case was complicated and confusing. The police were helpless and the pressure of public opinion was huge. Detective X was invited to participate in the investigation, but he was not favored by everyone, especially the key figure in the case - one of the relatives and friends of the missing woman, the straightforward and pragmatic protagonist. She did not trust Detective X's intuition and psychological analysis, and thought that the detective was too introspective and affected the progress of the case. The two had a fierce conflict since their first meeting. They each insisted on their own methods in the investigation and disagreed. However, as the case deepened, Detective X gradually discovered that the missing case seemed to have some secret connection with the case he had missed. Each clue, though seemingly insignificant, surrounds him like a fog, making it difficult to break through. The protagonist also begins to realize that although Detective X's methods are special, he does have some advantages in some aspects. The two gradually begin to move from conflict to cooperation. During the investigation, Detective X faces his past trauma. He not only has to solve the mystery of the case, but also has to struggle with his own heart. In the end, they found the key clues and uncovered the truth behind the missing woman. And this experience also made Detective X and the protagonist go from initial distrust to eventually establishing deep trust and tacit understanding. "Under the Mist" is a novel full of psychological tension and suspenseful reasoning. It tells how a detective faces his inner trauma, how to find the truth in the fog, and how two people move towards mutual understanding and trust in constant friction.
