The Ark: The Journey Home Stephen Hawking once wrote that "[E]ither a nuclear confrontation or environmental catastrophe will cripple the Earth at some point in the next 1,000 years. However, by then our ingenious race will have found a way to slip the surly bonds of Earth and will therefore survive the disaster." The Ark, a city of over 200,000 souls, is carrying the future of humanity. The ship is a great melting pot, representing several civilizations from Earth. There will be romance, fun, anger, various minor and major conflicts—in other words, Life. Come along and see where you fit into the mix. Part 2 Unfortunately, and despite the intensive screening process for the crew of The Ark and the repopulation passengers she's carrying, wherever humans go, they will bring along their flaws, foibles and shortcomings. There are always the self-righteous, willing to harm thousands to promote their cause. What sort of trouble will arise? Come along and see where you fit into the mix. Part 3 On Earth, many a human romance is doomed to failure. But on The Ark, things should be different, shouldn't they? After all, it isn't like you can move to the next town over after a breakup. Will a romance that seemed destined for the stars burn out? Will another flare up in its place? Will even the general herself learn a valuable lesson about being human? Part 4 Another twisted, intriguing tale of suspense and high action. But is it bigger than that? Is there a plot to sabotage the entire mission? How will it all end? Part 5 As the crew continues attending to the daily routine, are the repops growing tired of routine? Maybe it's time to organize. Peacefully, of course. Probably. Part 6 How do you handle security on a ship with eight populated decks and well over 200,000 citizens? And how do you ensure the practical skills the passengers practiced on Earth won't be lost over the generations? The crewpeople of The Ark are figuring it out as they go, and always doing so in the face of the next threat. Part 7 The Repopulation Passengers Council is in full swing and everything shipwide is going well. Maybe too well. Why is that one council member acting so strangely? It's almost as if he's not who he says he is. Part 8 What does it take to shake these people up? How are they not all glued to the view screens? For over a decade the view was populated with nameless stars and galaxies, and now its filled with a brand new solar system. And a brand new planet. Why do they not recognize what's right there before them? Or do they? Part 9 It's been a long journey. Is it time, finally, to set the ship down on the new human home world? Of course, this ship was never meant to land. If it does, will the advance teams follow instructions? Or will they discover a reason not to land? Part 10: Terra 2 It's the colonists' new home, but it's still an alien world. Will the colonists find themselves alone? Pretty unlikely. Were they wrong to settle in separate sites?
