Descrizione This ebook tells the story of Ana, the mother who dreamed of having a normal birth. Ana is a 37-year-old woman, mother of a 3-year-old boy and pregnant with another boy. In her first pregnancy, everything was very new, a lot of learning, studying, dieting and calmness in the hope of having a normal birth, as this was her dream and I believe that many women have today. Ana prepared herself for 40 weeks, doing all her prenatal care in a public hospital, as she didn't have a health insurance plan to do some of the more advanced tests that only a private hospital or clinic could offer. But even so, she never gave up trying to have a more humanized birth. On June 30, 2020, at 2 a.m., she felt some contractions and woke her husband saying that the contractions were no longer training contractions, but something different that repeated itself every few hours. With all the study and preparation Ana had done during the 40 weeks, she already knew or felt that this was the moment she had been dreaming of. She went to take her shower and the bag simply ruptured a few hours after she realized that the tampon had already come out. That moment was crucial for a normal birth, because she wasn't so terrified, while the father only remembered at that moment to take all the suitcases his wife had prepared and throw them in the car to take her to the hospital. It was a rainy dawn, like a scene from a movie, where the father slips in the middle of a storm, very cold, but he knew he had to be calm to reassure his sweet wife, who was in labor. He didn't have to run, but in theory everything was wonderful, but in reality things changed. Arriving at the hospital at 3 o'clock in the morning, Ana began to prepare for her dream normal birth. The nurses put Ana under a shower and from time to time checked to see how dilated she was for the birth to take place, because for a birth to take place well, the ideal would be a dilation of 10 centimeters. After the process and everything this particular mother had done over the 40 weeks, the birth began. Pre-natal care was something that wasn't part of Ana's studies, because in the hospital there was a room where she had to work a little hard to get the baby to crown. Her father's commitment and calmness to support her was crucial at this time, because many women give up and change their minds, requesting a caesarean section. But Ana knew she couldn't give up, because she wanted to feel her first baby pass through her bowels and one day be able to talk about what it would feel like to go through all this.
