When Douglas begins an affair with his stunning yet prissy colleague, Nguyet, neither of them suspects how turbulent their liaison will become. Over the years, not only their intimacy and audacity grow, but also their susceptibility to temptation. On their journey of unbridled lust, they also meet others who are equally liable to sin, so that eventually even an orgy circle forms in their sleepy little town in Central Vietnam.
In this 39th volume here, Douglas meets Nguyet's colleague Thuy in her office in the model home, where the young handyman, Hoang, is repairing the A/C unit. Given how exceptionally good-looking he is, Thuy surely wants to be a sandwich for lunch. Doesn't she?
In the next episode, the young intern, Casey, suggests to Douglas that they put on a sex-show, one day. Entranced and intoxicated by the details during the planning, the two rush to the vacant hotel, where Hoang is already waiting, to give free rein to their lust.
Casey has a young colleague, who is artistically inclined. In the third novella, said Emily draws designs for tattoos on Casey's voluptuous, half-naked body. As charming as the scene is, on the bed, Douglas is unsure whether the young artist will join the loin twirl.
In the final story, Casey is upset, as the ink is still smeared on her skin and won't wash off. As a result, she refuses to party with Emily and Douglas – which comes in very handy for the two of them, however, as they can vigorously tear into each other, then.
As varied as the episodes are, they all have one theme in common: Ultimately, they tell captivating tales of liberation from rigid, confining moral norms. All chapters are meant to entertain, amuse, and – in the best case – stimulate, without slipping into crudity, however. All light-hearted stories are told in a very revealing, tongue-in-cheek manner and, in passing, offer insights into Vietnamese culture. Without taboos, all episodes explore the sources and dynamic of erotic desire and lure the reader under the spell of an exotic world.
The author of this extensive series of erotic stories has been enjoying Southeast Asia for ten years now. After living in Germany and the U.S. for most of his life, Douglas ventured in the opposite direction in 2010: first, he taught at a community college in the South Seas for three years, before settling in Vietnam. Naturally, all novellas reflect his undying love for young Southeast Asian women.
