Astrology and Palmistry are the two poles of all occult teachings and wisdom; whereas Palmistry is the positive pole, Astrology necessarily is the negative pole and vice versa. On this basis, no power or factor of repulsion or interruption can spoil or disturb their team work, mutual functioning, and cooperation.
They are welded together by some mysterious soldering element which is beyond the human brain to probe. That is why any student of occultism who can fortify himself or herself with sufficient and adequate knowledge of both Palmistry and Astrology, will be in a strong position which will protect him or her from ignorance, illusion, deception, or criticism; he can also dispense with other methods of prediction such as the telling of fortunes with playing cards, cup-reading, crystal-gazing, etc.
As already mentioned, Palmistry and Astrology being closely akin, it would be a great asset for the student to follow the teachings and rules of both in practice. Evidently, Palmistry differs from Astrology as a separate science or art, yet they are of the same calibre and nature and serve the same end. Like etching and drawing, or oil painting and water colouring, they differ in method and material, but both give the required picture and impression. This fact is very vital in the study and practice of Palmistry associated Astrology—the subject matter which Astrology does not adequately and precisely supply, soon as the private and individual or personal character, talents, environments, etc., are completely covered by Palmistry. On the other hand, items which Palmistry cannot supply, such a psychological and mental make-up, general picture of temperament, habits, appearance, etc. Astrology can clarify.
Astrology helps the student to draw a general sketch of character and tendencies which are shared by multitudes of people born under the same Sign of the Zodiac, irrespective of sex, race, or social standard. Palmistry puts every human being in his proper place. Naturally, any group of men or women sharing the same qualities or talents widely differs in quality and quantity of these items.
This difference in quality and quantity of character and talents is responsible for the wide gap between careers, fortunes, success, and failure, recognized in the lives of people born in the same Sign. This difference can be easily fixed and limited by examining the hands. On examining the hands of different people, born in the same House, the student will notice the difference of quality and quantity in character, temperament, talents, etc., from the behaviour of the Main Lines, size and shape of the ruling Mounts and other parts of the hands.
The destiny and career of many people are influenced by foreign motives or factors such as living in foreign lands, marrying foreigners, dealing with overseas concerns or companies, etc. It will be difficult for Palmistry to recognise such people. People born under some Signs of the Zodiac, such as the Leo, Scorpion, Sagittarius, etc. are influenced by certain foreign elements. Once the student of this art is aware of this Astrological fact, he will carefully examine the hands for the relevant proper Signs or marks confirming this conclusion.
Another important item which Palmistry cannot understand without the help of Astrology is that there are some people who usually look restless and do not like to remain in the same job or surroundings for a long lime.
