Descrizione When Kay Logan's student buddy Olivia was abducted, Kay decided to take matters into her own hands and try to find her. They were both art students at a prestigious academy in Hamburg Germany, but there had recently been a spate of students going missing. The admin staff seemed curiously unconcerned about it which made Kay highly suspicious that something underhanded was going on. This prompted her to go on a search for her friend herself, and it led her straight to handsome Hans Angert who had been assigned the case. Kay's attraction for this sharply dressed, 'fit' German private detective was helped along by his desire to work with her on the matter. Seeing that Olivia and Kay were best friends, Kay was the obvious person to liaison with. However, there were sinister things going on behind the scenes which needed to unravel. On the one hand, the Institute's Dean was reluctant to make the abductions a public matter, shying away from any publicity. On the other, it soon became clear that a gang specialising in marketing art fakes was responsible for the kidnapping of students. The question as to why they were doing this, gave rise to different theories. Perhaps this was people trafficking pure and simple? Or perhaps it was because the missing students had something unique to offer, like a special artistic talent? But none of these theories fully explained the situation. However, the common denominator appeared to be art itself. Answering these questions might spell out the gang's motives and lead Kay to find her friend Olivia. To make matters more depressing, handsome Hans Angert wasn't making Olivia's disappearance a priority. He seemed preoccupied by other concerns. But as soon as Kay made the connection between Hans and the Dean, a woman by the name of Miss Meltzer, things began to fall into place. Kay discovered that the Dean had at one time modelled for Hans Angert when he was a photographer. He was also having an intimate relationship with her which frankly made Kay jealous as she herself was developing a crush on him. Neither did it help that he behaved like a perfect gentleman when in Kay's company. Without doubt there were certain things that he was failing to disclose to her, secrets which Kay was determined to get to the bottom of. It did appear that Kay was pursuing him, especially also as he was a man of means, had a beautiful exclusive apartment and took Kay out for meals. What was there not to like about this dashing man? Indeed, Kay's mind was soon full of romantic ideas which made her susceptible to a certain amount of danger. Direct contact with the evil gang of kidnappers themselves, supervised by Hans as a part of his investigation, didn't help. If Kay wasn't careful she could easily wind up as a victim herself!
