So, being the glutton that I am I picked up Restoration after reading Groupie. Much the same as I experienced with Groupie, I truly enjoyed Restoration. I loved the contrast between the posh Andrew and the driver's daughter, Rachel. They were from two different worlds and yet they somehow managed to develop a connection. This book did not disappoint after Groupie, and I've gotten the feeling that Michelle has a real knack for writing characters that are essentially from two different worlds. In groupie you had Leah, the journalist and Edward, the rockstar. In restoration it is Andrew, the rich guy and Rachel, who was essentially the help. But, being rich leaves somethings to be desired and Rachel provides an anchor to reality that I felt Andrew's character really benefited from. The book is marvelously well written and the synergy between the star characters is amazing. I'd love to see a sequel to this story, as there is still room for Andrew and Rachel's relationship to grow into something more.
