EXCERPT: A softly-sharp keening sound caught their attention, and as they looked up then around to spot the source, they saw the drones. Each was no larger than a coffee mug, carried nothing in the way of any obvious weaponry though clusters of antennae and small mobile dish-shaped scanners decorated their small forms. "Surveillance drones, looks like we've been spotted." Shaega said, raised her voice and addressed the nearest drone of the five, hand on her sidearm. "IFA Enforcement Officer Shaega Gratzner. Your ship has been identified and you are under arrest. Surrender yourself and it'll go much easier for you." She said in a hard-toned voice of authority, her hand drifting to the sidearm at her hip. The flash that blasted forth from the drones took her and Kimberly entirely by surprise, and left them staggering in place as they blinked and shook their heads with their hands reflexively and belatedly shielding their eyes, seeing nothing but colorfully-flashing blob-spots in their vision. As their eyes recovered the lights in the chamber came up stronger but only enough for adequate illumination as they saw the drones venting something that misted heavily down on them faster than a mist should normally fall…tendrils of it forming and striking like snakes but 'splashing' off their suits, curving around and sinking in to the material. As Kimberly brought a hand up to her face to check what was causing the odd crawling sensation over her hand, she noticed something peculiar… …her hand had been enclosed in the material of her suit with a strap-like length forming from the end as she watched. Alarmed she found the same happening with the sleeve to her other hand simultaneously. "What the hell…??!!" She said, looking at Shaega who was experiencing the same as they both staggered in place and struggled to keep their balance as their footing was being steadily compromised as well even as the equipment and weapons at their belts fell off, clattering to the deck. A quick glance down by each of them at each other revealed their boots seal-melding to the suit material of the legs, and the boots growing agonizingly high heels.
