Written with the enthusiasm of youth and the naiveté of someone who barely understood what he was reading, the book is both a snapshot of 1980s occult culture and a genuine practical guide. The language is often hubris-filled, peppered with misunderstood psychology and dated metaphysical ideas. The author himself now cringes at much of what he wrote. Yet there's something honest and compelling about encountering a young mind so completely committed to understanding the mysteries.

The author—now fifty-five, having lived the life he magically manifested across six continents—is publishing this as a time capsule. It's a record of where he began: isolated, phobic, desperate, but utterly determined. He wants to honour that younger self's enthusiasm and show readers how far genuine practice and commitment can take you, even when you start knowing almost nothing.
He also wants to show how magick actually works—not through fantasy, but through the patient, daily practice of someone who never stopped. The system he devised in these pages worked. Within two months of completing his release ritual, he came into money, obtained a teaching qualification, flew to Asia, and stayed there for over a decade. He travelled sixty-seven countries, earned two university degrees, found his soulmate, built the life he wanted. The magick was real—though not in the way a nineteen-year-old imagined.
This book is for anyone curious about practical occultism, the history of Western esoteric thought, personal transformation through ritual and visualization, or simply for those who want to peek inside the mind of an obsessed teenager discovering the occult for the first time.
