"On Advent Sunday, 3 Dec.'23, in an Italian cathedral, God spoke . . . God's message—about charitas—answered theology's most puzzling question: How can Almighty God both be good and allow evil?
"A mature, Roman priest—who believed that the theodicy solution was genuine—told me to bring the news directly to the Pope. This book, really a long report, was sent to the Pontiff . . . in Feb.'24."
"Why God allows evil could not be solved because it was left unconsidered by which standard God judges. The revelation at this book's heart revealed that God judges by the standard of charitas: the loving, ultimate, best interests of all the living. (As we are created with a survival instinct that's willing to sacrifice for the next generation, 'best' is what lastingly promotes life. In contrast, death, the living innately know, is bad.)
"When humanity fell from Eden, it perverted itself against enough of its own best interests. At that time, humans began willingly to choose death: of others, of self, of Earth, etc. Besides hurting itself, humanity has been, because of its power over other aspects of God's Creation, damaging much else that God loves. A house divided against itself cannot stand. So, God must, as perverted humanity is not following God's will, keep humans in line via punishment. If God didn't, the "criminals" (destructive-of-itself-and-others humanity) would run amok even more."
"[The] Charitas revelation explained that [enough of] the world's evil is due to human [selfishness]: Russians side with Russia; Ukrainians, with Ukraine; Israelis, with Israel; and, Palestinians, with Palestine. In contrast, God is not one sided. And, God, fair to all, punishes when someone is one sided. If God did not, God could not be fair to all.
"'I [Jesus] say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your heavenly Father. '
"This revelation can save the world and prevent WWIII [besides bring calm to universities]: The revelation can strip moral authority from any one-sided war party [or partisan protester]; and, such a divine, ancient-wisdom rationale, to explain evil's existence, is obvious once recognized but was lost, including to the major monotheistic faiths."
The book reveals that it's competitive partisanship itself that triggers God's vengeance. That's logic: Oppression causes conflict and one-sidedness is oppressive to the side left unsupported. So, about Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Palestine, Democrats, Republicans, as well as university protesters, each side will continually boon or bust until we all join forces together. Thus, while this Charitas revelation—that explains both why God allows evil and the only bedrock-for-all morality—is eye-opening, paradoxically, it's also a no-brainer and the same, age-old message.
