There is a story in the Book of 1 Kings in the Old Testament about a young prophet from Judah who had the call of God upon his life. This young prophet had his destiny going in the right direction when he came to Bethel. It was because he was under the heavy commission of the anointing of God to go and carry out an assignment. This man came to the altar and did what God said that he should do to the letter. He carried out his instructions to the letter and fulfilled his destiny to that point to the letter, and when the first destiny hunter entreated him, and he stretched his hand toward him, God said, "No." because this one is still in My will, you cannot touch him. And his hand dried up. Let us see a very pathetic story there in 1 Kings 13. "And behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD and said, O altar, altar; thus saith the LORD: Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name: and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. And he gave a sign the same day, saying, this is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. And it came to pass when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, lay hold on him and his hand, which he put forth again him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him, The altar also was rent. The ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by that word of the LORD. And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Entreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the kings' hand was restore him again and became as it was before. And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. And the man of God said unto the king, if thou wilt gives me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. So he went another way and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel." This one is saying something, beloved: as long as you remain within the scope of the destiny and the purpose of God for your life, no power in hell can touch you. This man told him again, "Turn home with me, come home with me, and I will give you a reward because you have done the will of God; I will reward you." The man of God remembered, "If he rewards me, there will be trouble because God is my reward, and if I take a reward from you… No, I am not taking your reward, I am not going to eat your food, and I am not drinking your water. I will not return the way I came because that is the instruction." He was still walking according to his destiny and the commission of God over his life. If that had ended the story, it would have been beautiful, but unfortunately, the destiny hunter would not allow this man to live...
